Altar Cloths
My Altar cloths are all embroidered by hand, so they can take a while (especially the larger projects). Here is a gallery of all my creations so far. Enjoy!

A small cloth for Ma’at, goddess of justice. The goddess is known both an entity and as a force or concept. To live by maat meant to respect others and to action order and good in one’s life. Actions of maat were often considered a good offering for deities, especially for those who embodied justice, law and order. Ma’at has 2 primary symbols, one of which is represented here: the scales. The dead are judged by the tribunal in the duat, their hearts and souls weighed against the feather of Ma’at. With order, she also represents symmetry, especially in 2s. The small feather fans on each corner represent symmetry, and hint at her feather. It’s a small cloth, with strong symbology.
