Welcome to Dawn Stag!
What is Dawn Stag?
Dawn Stag is a brand based on the pagan lifestyle. Bringing back to life our connection with old knowledge alongside the exploration of poly-pantheistic beliefs, nature, and ancestral practices world-wide. Behind this brand is a personal project which has been running for years; a continuous research of tradition, civilisation, modernised adaptation, reconstruction, and structure of our pagan paths throughout history.
The Goal
My aim is to craft and provide ritual items, pagan (both modern and ancestral) clothing pertinent to the old deities and pantheons. At the same time to raise awareness of and potentially bring back some of the forgotten deities into our modern society. There are many chain manufactured pieces online, most with questionable quality or made from poor materials. I plan to bring back some of the facets of the deities which seem to have been lost, or not available, and to give access to items which aren’t currently (and really shouldn’t be) on the mass-produced market.
My shop contains a mix of unique items I’ve created with a theme or for a specific purpose. I make everything here by hand, sometimes with the assistance of a sewing machine. Some items aren’t unique as they are commonly needed tools (simple cloaks, incense, etc…), these should be commonly available in the shop. I will continue to work on my skills and develop new ones if required for additional projects, and create some more whimsy into our digital era. I also hope that my projects and creations will generate curiosity and interest into our ancestors and nature. Keep an eye on the blogs if you want to get updates on what I’m up to and future plans!
Who am I?
My pagan name is Noctis. I am an eclectic witch based in Manchester UK, and part of the Brotherhood of Cernunnos. I am not associated nor focused onto a single path or tradition within my craft. I have ancestors from all over Europe, including Gauls, Romans, Germanic and potentially other Celtic tribes. I tend to pull my spells and magical craft from Gaulish, Roman, Greek and Egyptian traditions, and work with a variety of deities from those pantheons (as well as a few others further away geographically).
Considering my eclectic background I would just like to make a note. It’s very important for me to ensure that, if I ever practice or become involved in a tradition, that I investigate beforehand and ask in advance for permission if required. My view is that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure they respect others and their traditions (as long as no harm is done to you). As long as that knowledge is gained, whether it is researched or taught directly, and those who fully embody the path are respected, then I believe it’s fine to enter that circle. This is a process I go through for my crafting as well, making sure all my items respect traditions and paths as much as possible.
How to navigate this site?
As a practitioner, crafter and artist the website is split into 2 major sections. One is the shop (coming soon), and one is the gallery side which I have called The Workshop. The Shop and Commission pages are there if you are interested in purchasing or requesting a piece of my crafts or art. The Workshop is an image gallery of all my unique creations, and to show the types of items I can craft.
You can also find the Commissions form either by clicking on the navigation menu on the top, or directly here. This is in case you wish to request for a specific item that currently isn’t available or that you wish to have particular customisations for.
